PARKING APRON REPAIRS, ELSER REGIONAL AIRPORT, ALEXANDRIA, LA:  Provided electronic surveys to insure accurate grade control & provided Civil and Structural Engineering designs as well as construction inspection and grant administration for the repair and repaving of 79,000 sq yds of parking apron at commercial and general aviation terminals.  The work included cold-plane removal of existing paving, repair of base and drainage structure failures, and paving of the aprons.  The work was funded by the Federal Airport Improvement Program (AIP). 


ENGLAND AFB REUSE STUDY, ALEXANDRIA, LA:  Provided services as a member of the consulting team which conducted a feasibility study and prepared a Base Reuse Plan for the deactivated US Air Force's England Air Force Base in 1992.  This $750,000 (3) vol work studied the socio-economic and environmental impacts which would be involved in conversion of the facility to use by commercial air traffic.  All of the base facilities including the air traffic control system, runways, electronics, maintenance and hanger structures were analyzed and  a Land Use Plan was developed which considered noise pollution and other compatibility concerns.


AIRPORT MASTER PLAN, TENSAS PARISH, LA:  Provided all requisite professional services including preparation and coordination of the grant application for a study to determine the feasibility of relocating a municipal airport prior to acceptance and implementation of grants to clear obstructions (400K).  The project included a Master Plan to identify airport needs and service requirements over the next 20 years.  The work was funded by the Federal Airport Improvement Program (AIP). 



KEY FIELD, MERIDIAN, MS:  Providing Phase I & Phase II services for all Architectural, Engineering, Surveying, and Construction Administration required by the project which involved an addition to the existing hangar facility, and provides additional parking and apron area for an increase in the aviation units authorized aircraft of CH-47 helicopters.  The air craft parking/tie-down pads, constructed of rigid paving, are designed to accommodate fourteen (14) aircraft.  The required areas for taxi lanes, a taxiway and a helipad are constructed of flexible paving.  Other support facilities included site preparation, grading, drainage, shoulders, and taxi lane/taxiway lighting.  Because this facility is located at the Meridian Municipal Airport, the project is subject to review by the FAA for compliance to their regulations.


Bayou Dorcheat Correction Center, Camp Minden, LA:  Provided civil services for the renovation of Department of Defense Strategic Materials Warehouse into a state-of-the-art correctional facility housing 330 inmates.  Project included an addition to the warehouse housing full administrative support, full kitchen and laundry, visitation areas, and private/solitary cells for the work release programs of carpentry, automobile repair, and metal working shops, as well as outside exercise yards, basketball courts, and outside holding areas.


ELDER WOOD PRESERVING COMPANY, MANSURA, LAPrepared a master plan that would serve as a guide in determining the prioritized order of planned improvements over the next several years. This plan addressed several specific concerns including increased inventory, revision to the layout of the wood yard, rehabilitation of process drip pad, covered product storage, dust control, drainage and storm water runoff, etc. 


INTERNATIONAL PAPER COMPANY, DERIDDER, LAProvided all the required surveying and engineering services for the project which involved grading and drainage improvements of a 60 acre site at the Wood Yard and Open Storage areas of the plant.  The work consisted of earthwork and excavation for drainage ditches and retention ponds, pipe culvert and drain inlet installation, soil cement stabilization of storage areas and roads to reduce rutting by heavy equipment. 


DOLET HILLS HAUL ROAD, MANSFIELD, LAProvided surveys, engineering, and construction inspection 6,000 LF of industrial access road serving the coal storage yard at an electric generating plant.  The work included drainage improvements and a concrete containment structure for the coal reclamation system. 


VEHICLE WASH RACK MODIFICATIONS, FORT POLK, LABallad CLC provided engineering/surveying services and developed construction cost estimates using the CACES cost estimating system for improvements to a tracked vehicle maintenance facility including conversion of (8) wash stands to high/low, lighted hose towers with wheeled vehicle adaptation structures, sedimentation drainage ditches, latrines, pavement improvements, and an operations building. 


MANUFACTURING PLANT, CAMPTI, LABallard CLC furnished all design, survey, and construction monitoring services for the total building and site development for a 11,000 sq/ft industrial building designed for the manufacture of boat trailers.  Features include offices, rest rooms, parts storage, a paint booth, and an overhead crane system.
