A wide range of recreation projects have included access roads, boat ramps, utility distribution, architectural drawings, trail systems, primitive and non-primitive campgrounds, picnicking facilities, and playground areas for the Red River Waterway Commission and Corps of Engineers.
Industrial projects include truck movement analysis; access roads and parking; storm water and spill retention; raw material and finished product piping systems; loading facilities; railroad siding track rehabilitation; two woodyard master plans.
Transportation projects include arterial streets, residential streets, interstate highways, girder span and slab span bridges, storm sewers, and major drainage works and railroad track reconstruction.
Manager of numerous Utility systems projects include gas systems replacement, sewage treatment plant modifications, pump stations, 36" force main and river outfall; sewer system expansions, water system supply distribution, treatment and instrumentation, water transmission and elevated storage.
Commercial development projects include large mall site work expansions, motel site work design, and several residential subdivisions.
Commercial/Industrial Facility Development
¨ Metro Center Mall, Alexandria, LA - Parking lot improvements and subsurface drainage design on a twenty acre site.
¨ Borden Chemical, Inc., Alexandria, LA - Conceptual studies and final design of site work improvements, plant access, storm water pump station and spill retention, product piping and unloading systems. Separate project delivery orders included warehouse rehabilitation, office and laboratory renovation, and sludge drying bed with mobile cover.
¨ St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA - Concrete parking and storm drainage, 1000 linear feet of 9' x 6' box culvert, site lighting, utilities for ten acre site.
¨ Bayou Robert at Landmark Drainage Improvements, Alexandria, LA - Survey Design and Inspection of subsurface and open canal stormwater drainage system. 36" and 42" reinforced concrete pipe; box culverts; headwalls; inlet structure; removal and replacement of all concrete sidewalk pavement; and seeding and fertilizing.
¨ Low Pressure Gas Distribution System, Zone 6A, Alexandria, LA - Approximately 60,000 linear feet of commercial and residential gas main replacement and accompanying street and sidewalk repairs.
¨ Relocation of Gas and Water Distribution Lines, Alexandria, LA - Approximately eight miles of 6" and 8" water distribution mains and services and three miles of 3" gas mains and services required for US Hwy 165 reconstruction.
¨ Sixth Street Floodgate, Alexandria, LA - Complete design and construction administration of major drainage outfall structure into Rapides Bayou.
¨ Winn Parish Police Jury, Winnfield, LA - Parish Engineer, operations evaluation and plan for all phases of Parish Highway Department Administration.
¨ Heyman Lane, Alexandria, LA - Replacement of 12" gas feeder main, adjustment of gas distribution system, new 12" water main.
¨ International Paper, DeRidder, LA - Master plans, design and construction administration of site layout and grading plans to improve inventory storage and handling at 60 acre pole treating plant. Environmental tasks included pollution prevention plans, combining multiple discharge monitoring points, and permitting.
¨ U.S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth - Project Manager for Civil Design for award winning consolidated dining facility at Dyess, AFB in Amarillo, Texas.
¨ U.S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth - Miscellaneous design services. Projects included contaminated soils storage facilities, POL waste storage facility, several parking lot improvements for Reserve Centers and Base Chapel at Fort Polk, LA.
¨ U.S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth - Indefinite Delivery Contract for upgrading the North Fort Polk wastewater treatment plant, Phase I and II. Project included 1.5 MGD advanced treatment, rehabilitation of plant headworks, primary and secondary clarifiers, trickling filter, and yard piping to meet more stringent effluent quality standards.
¨ US Army Engineer District, Fort Worth - Indefinite Delivery Contract for new 1.2 MGD water treatment plant, for iron, manganese, and turbidity reduction and new well at Fort Polk, LA.
¨ US Army Engineer District, Forth Worth - Indefinite Delivery Contract for Title II services including design, contract modification claims and negotiation, construction administration, and quality assurance.
¨ Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Naval Air Station, Belle Chase, LA - Complete site plans including parking and utilities for the vehicle repair shop.
Mr. Branch has more than thirty-five years of federal and consulting experience. Professional experience has included all phases of project development including conceptual, final plans and documents, bidding, contract negotiations, construction monitoring and administration. Mr. Branch continues to serve on the City of Alexandria Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals and has for the past five years. He is a past member of the Alexandria Plumbing Board.
His professional experience includes four years of federal design and management. Positions that he has held have included Project Engineer, Project Manager and currently President at Ballard CLC.
