Project Description

Ballard was selected by LA FP&C for design of a replacement bridge for the Wildlife and Fisheries Bridge located at Grassy Lake Wildlife Management Area in Bordelonville, LA.  The new bridge replaced a timber bridge. This project dismantled the existing bridge and replaced it with a new bridge within the same general alignment. The new bridge was a 5-25 foot span (125’) concrete slab span bridge, with 10 foot approach aprons at each end.  The ridge was supported by cast-in-place concrete caps on 16 inch concrete support piles. The project included a new vertical alignment for a gravel roadway.
