Project Description
Ballard CLC was selected by the VAMC to provide Professional Design Services for the VA Medical Center Nursing Home Expansion at the Alexandria VAMC. The project scope included Programming, Building and Site Design including Surveying Services to provide construction documents for a 22,000 square foot expansion to the “C” Wing of Building 45. The 24 bed expansion also included renovation and interface with the existing facility and expanding the heating and cooling and power from the existing Central Energy Plant. Additionally, Ballard provided all site, civil, and surveying for site utilities, parking and access drives for the project. This included 3,800 square yards of pavement and a total of 91 additional parking spaces at the Pineville VA Medical Center.
